Italian charm in Paris
Showroom apartment for Airnova furniture brand
Old-time charm with a contemporary vocation marks the modern Milan apartment with vintage furnishings from Andrea Del Pedro Pera and Gian Paolo Venier. The project, Traits d’Union, draws inspiration from the building’s pre-existing DNA, reinterpreting the space under an eclectic lens. Iconic accents and stylings from the early 20th-century are featured throughout the 150 square meter home, custom-made by the young owner looking to fuse the past and present with distinct character.
Set in the Parisian space of Zanutta France, the temporary installation we conceived for Airnova offered a journey through the brand’s elegant and colorful imaginary. A place of meetings and exchanges, the pop-up showroom highlighted the company’s skilled craftsmanship with leather and invited to discover a glamorous interior where the pieces of furniture – seats, armchairs, tables, and cabinets – interacted with the existing architecture, for a truly Parisian interior with an Italian flavor. In parallel, the workshop space on the ground floor invited architects and interior designers to discover the richness of Airnova’s catalog and to personalize 4 flagship products in an interactive and light set-up.
Embracing functionality and organization, ample built-in wardrobes are custom-made, concealing spacious compartments embellished with vertical wooden doors. By freeing up floor space, furnishings and objects come center stage to steal the show. It’s here that Andrea Del Pedro Pera and Gian Paolo Venier find the perfect alchemy between opposing styles. Where the first tends to essential details, the second opts for a theatrical ambience.
